GREENCO Project Contributions to the Conference “Trends in Construction Materials and Structures”
On 10 May 2024, researchers associated with the GREENCO project contributed to the conference “Trends in Construction Materials and Structures”, organised by the Institute for Testing of Materials (IMS) in Belgrade, Serbia. The event brought together approximately 100 participants to discuss current developments in construction materials and structures.
Two presentations addressed key aspects of sustainable construction and the assessment of construction materials:
“Main Aspects in Assessment and Verification of Material Performance”, by Biljana Ilić, Dragan Bojović, Lana Antić Aranđelović, Marko Stojanović and Ksenija Janković. The presentation focused on the assessment and verification of construction material performance.
“Ecological Aspects of Production of Construction Materials – Life Cycle Assessment and Environmental Product Declaration”, by Zagorka Radojević, Anja Terzić, Tea Spasojević-Šantić, Biljana Ilić and Biljana Bojović. The presentation addressed the environmental impacts of construction material production, highlighting life cycle assessment (LCA) and environmental product declarations (EPDs) as important tools for evaluating and communicating environmental performance.
Both contributions reflect themes central to the GREENCO project, particularly the promotion of more sustainable construction materials and the integration of environmental considerations into the construction sector.
