Industry Innovation Day at DTU Explores Circular Solutions for Construction Materials

On 22 September 2025, the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), a partner in the GREENCO project, hosted the Industry Innovation Day “Towards Tomorrow’s Industry: Sustainable Materials & Emerging Technologies” at Lyngby campus in Denmark.

The event brought together industry representatives, researchers and innovators to explore sustainable materials, emerging technologies and opportunities to accelerate the transition towards more circular industrial practices.

The programme included presentations and discussions on circular solutions in the construction materials industry, recycling technologies, the reuse of materials and the development of sustainable products from waste. Contributions from industry representatives addressed the transformation of construction and demolition waste into valuable resources, circular insulation products and strategies for improving resource efficiency.

The event's focus on circular construction materials and collaboration between research and industry closely aligns with GREENCO’s objectives of promoting education for the green transformation of the construction sector and strengthening knowledge exchange between academia and industry.
