GREENCO Partner GTŠ Presents Research at the Doctoral Conference on Environmental Engineering

On 12 May 2025, Hrvoje Mostečak and Ivana Gagro, employees of the Zagreb Construction Technical School (Graditeljska tehnička škola Zagreb – GTŠ), a partner in the GREENCO project, presented their research at the 4th Scientific Doctoral Conference “Research in Environmental Engineering”, organised by the University of Zagreb’s Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering in Varaždin, Croatia.

Hrvoje Mostečak presented “Analysis of Climate Change Adaptation Measures Using Absorptive and Evapotranspirative Potential: A Case Study of the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering Building.” His research examined climate change adaptation measures for a university building, focusing on the potential of surfaces and systems to absorb water and support evapotranspiration.

Ivana Gagro presented “Impact of Using LCA Analysis on the Selection of Roof Structures for Family Homes.” Her research explored the application of life-cycle assessment (LCA) in selecting roof structures, highlighting the importance of considering environmental impacts when making construction design decisions.

Both presentations addressed topics relevant to sustainable construction, including climate change adaptation and environmental assessment methods. Their contributions reflect GREENCO’s commitment to strengthening sustainability competencies and integrating environmental considerations into construction education and practice.
